Model #35006K

The Mini Bundle is the perfect kit to get you started organizing your space, featuring the PROCORE PVC panel.

PROCORE, The newest member of the Proslat family promises over 2 x the strength of regular slatwall. The key to this panel is its aluminum core. This patent pending design uses PVC only as an aesthetic finish and relies on the aluminum to do the heavy lifting. It is not a replacement for the original Proslat PVC panel, but rather an enhancement to the category.

The PROCORE panel will satisfy the needs of customers with 24 inch stud centers while maximizing load strength. Proslat's original panel designed for 16 inch studs is still a great option for many homeowners, its strength is still your best bet economically (holds up to 75 lb per linear foot), however more new builds today are designed with 24 inch studs.

* PROCORE PVC Slatwall and PROCORE trims cannot be installed in conjunction with the original PVC Slatwall.

Attractive, Strong but improvements are needed

Overall, I am quite pleased with the final installation but installing the Procore Slatwall was nowhere near as easy as the videos make it seem. First the bottom and side trims are very flexible so it is a challenge for one person to keep the trim square and aligned. I resorted to using painters tape to hold the trim in place while I attached with screws. I mounted the Procore on my basement wall so I attached 2 x 4 studs to the concrete. Each individual slat is also flexible, so I needed to used a long level on each slat to keep everything aligned - Not the every two or three slats as indicated in the instructions. The self drilling screws provided with the slabs were intended for attaching the slabs to stud walls covered with sheetrock. So I needed to find appropriate screws. I did test the self-drilling screws and found that they didn't work well at all - they wandered in the aluminum when I used a power driver. I was hoping to use them to drill pilot holes. Ultimately I needed to drill pilot holes for each screw. That meant drilling about 75 pilot holes. Fortunately I had an electric drill in addition to my battery operated driver. But 75 pilot holes was quite a chore. It would be nice if the Procore came with pre-drilled pilot holes and an option to purchase 1 1/2" wood screws with a washer head. Lastly, attaching the top L trim was really, really difficult. The trim did not simply snap in place as indicted in the instructions. Ultimately I started on one end, flexed one corner of the trim and carefully got about 1 inch of the trim to grab. Then very carefully I worked down the length of the trim inch by inch using four fingers on each hand to provide enough downward force to snap in the trim. Uneven force popped out the trim. Lastly Ryne at Proslat was a big help and sent me pictures and suggestions to snap in the trim. I modified his technique to get the trim attached.

Hi Bob, Firstly thank you for taking the time to write your detailed review. We take our customer feedback very seriously, and appreciate it especially when it is constructive! After reviewing your concerns, I had my technical support team compare them with our instructions. We came to the conclusion that our instructions need to be improved regarding concrete wall installations. We should have specified that the 1 1/2' panhead screws required for installation to a furring strip be self-tapping so that they could puncture the aluminum inserts. I apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. By the way, using painter's tape to hold the trim in place while fastening it to the wall is a great idea, especially when installing alone. I will contact you privately via email as well as a secondary follow up. Once again thank you for taking the time to leave us this review, it will certainly help us improve! Best,
