Looks Great, but Scratches Way Too Easily
I purchased the ProCore carbon fiber slat wall because I really liked the appearance and expected it to be a durable product, especially for a garage installation. Unfortunately, I’m disappointed with how easily the surface scratches.
Even with careful handling during installation, the carbon fiber finish picked up noticeable scratches. For a product designed for garages, workshops, and storage areas, I expected the surface to hold up much better to normal use. I’m concerned about what it will look like after a few years of moving hooks, shelves, and accessories around.
The slat wall itself looks very good when it’s new, and I like the overall design, but the durability of the carbon fiber finish is a major disappointment. At this price point, I expected a much tougher, more scratch-resistant surface.
Pros: Great appearance and nice overall design.
Cons: Scratches very easily and doesn’t feel durable enough for normal garage use.
I would have a hard time recommending the carbon fiber finish unless ProCore improves its scratch resistance.
Installed a 4 x 8 as part of garage reorganization. Love how much stuff I was able to get up off my floor or off the back of the shelf. From an install perspective be wary of your existing drywall that’s not perfectly flat. Mine was not. Ordering hooks can be confusing since there are so many options. I suggest getting bare minimum and then order more as you figure out what you will hang. Also discovered you can order official ProSlat hooks from big box retailers which might speed up or save some delivery expense.
We love the wall and all the hangers that we ordered with it. The bike hangers are exceptional because of the way our bikes hang far enough off the wall to still store on the wall behind them.
Ordered two slatwalls. FedEx only delivered one of the packages. Needed to call Proslat. They were responsive and reshipped another package promptly. Thank You. Apparently they are aware that FedEx “looses” products with some regularity.
Slatwall product is a bit brittle (even the ProCore product with integrated aluminum supports). Both packages were damaged in some way. Corners of some slats and edging were broken off. Some broken edges are visible in the final installation; others I managed to disguise. Also had one instance where the aluminum support was longer than the slat itself. Needed to cut off approximately 1/4” in order to make the slat fit properly.
Overall the product works. However, given the brittleness of the product, the lack of proper packaging, and the cost of this product compared to others I don’t think this will be a repeat buy for me. That is unfortunate given that I am looking to add two additional 4’ x 8’ walls.

What colors does Procore Slatwall come in?
Procore Slatwall is available in White or Light Gray.
Is it possible to install Proslat Slatwall on a concrete block wall?
Install Slatwall on concrete or block walls by fastening 2 x 3 in. studs vertically at 16 in. (when using PVC) or 24 in. (when using Procore, Procore+, or Aluminum) using cement screws. Use 1-1⁄2’’ #8 pan head screws (not included) to install the panels.

Yes, Proslat Slatwall panels are specifically designed to be compatible with Proslat hooks and accessories. This means that you can confidently use Proslat accessories with Proslat Slatwall panels, ensuring a seamless and secure fit.
What tools are required for Slatwall installation?
The tools needed for installing Slatwall typically include a measuring tape, level, drill, screws (appropriate for the wall type), and a saw for cutting panels, such as a circular saw, jigsaw, or table saw. A circular saw with a fine-toothed blade or a jigsaw with a plastic-cutting blade can provide precise cuts, while a table saw with a high-tooth-count blade can be used for straight cuts.
Can I combine PVC Slatwall with Procore, Procore+ and/or Aluminum Slatwall?
Each category of Slatwall must be installed independently, they are not made to interlock with one another.
What are the recommended cleaning methods for maintaining Proslat panels?
To clean Proslat panels, simply wipe them down with a damp cloth for regular maintenance. For larger cleaning tasks, such as an entire wall installation, the panels can be hosed down with water.
